Working Stronger Conference 2018

The Canadian Mental Health Association, Alberta Division is hosting a workplace conference designed to improve mental health outcomes in Alberta workplaces. The conference is two days of networking, information exchange and dialogue that will advance efforts to support healthier workplaces across the province. The Philosophy of “Personalism” & its Most Relevant Implications to Contemporary Life & Human Services

This workshop presents Dr. Wolfensberger’s  interpretation and synthesis of philosophical and value traditions that have been called “personalism,” focusing especially on those from France in the late 19th-early 20th centuries and personalist thinking since then. Personalism, like other philosophies, has implications to a wide range of issues in life, and this workshop interprets the relevance of personalist ideas to a number of concerns of contemporary life, society, and human services. Cost is $450 for commuters (includes registration, handouts, welcome breakfast, daily coffee and lunch), $555 to share a room at the retreat centre and $600 for a private room. Together We HOLD The Power! Accessibility Conference & Fall Forum

Voice of Albertans with Disabilities is hosting its first Conference and Forum! The conference and forum are a two day dialogue and information exchange, featuring a reception with a keynote speaker, workshops, information tables and presentations. The purpose of the conference and forum will be to showcase where and how the community is moving forward toward inclusion and accessibility in Canadian society. A focus will be on action, strategies and tools that you can use. Cost for Alberta Disabilities Forum and VAD members is $225+GST. Non-members pay $250+GST. Strengthening Today, Building Tomorrow

ALIGN's 11th annual conference is designed for human services employees and includes presentations for senior leaders, supervisors and front-line workers. ALIGN is inviting submissions from a variety of disciplines with topics related to practice, child welfare/child intervention practices, disability, diversity and indigenous issues.
